SYNOPSIS
Seville wakes up at a magic academy with no past, no purpose, and no idea why he's even there. His memories are a blank slate, and his magical abilities are painfully mediocre. Coasting through classes as the lowest-ranked student, he barely gets by until Headmaster Albus assigns him an impossible mission: venture into a region gripped by witch hunts and convince ordinary people that magic is worth accepting. The world has only just stopped burning from a brutal war between the church and witches. Fear and prejudice run deep. Seville has to be the bridge between two sides that want nothing to do with each other, armed with magic he barely understands and a past he can't remember. Alongside a ragtag group of fellow students and unexpected allies, Seville stumbles through situations both dangerous and absurd, slowly discovering that maybe who you are matters less than who you choose to become. This is the era where magic will either find its place in the world or disappear forever.
