Ren Xiaosu refuses to be broken by a nuclear winter that has already broken everyone else. The animation pours itself into every moment of survival and small defiance, turning a webnovel adaptation into something that looks like it cost twice as much. Post-apocalyptic stories usually demand you accept that hope is dead; this one insists you watch a kid with a garbage sense of humor rebuild it anyway, one impossible decision at a time.

Nuclear winter has left humanity no longer the dominant species, with mutated creatures and scarce resources creating one crisis after another. People shelter behind fortified barriers, but some live outside them and hunt in the wilderness to get by. Ren Xiaosu and his younger brother Yan Liuyuan, who share no blood but rely on each other, are among them, and both awaken superpowers by chance. To earn a living and protect his family, Ren leaves his market town for Jingshan, facing wolves, human-faced insects and mutant creatures on the way. The ONA mixes action, adventure, fantasy and sci-fi.
