Uraharajuku High's team, the Boarders, has been eliminated from the Kantou Tournament, and their season looks finished. Then a mysterious man makes an equally mysterious proposal that could sway the Governor, himself a Uraharajuku graduate, into letting the team face Sena Kobayakawa and the Deimon Devilbats in the Golden Bowl. Whoever wins this obscure game will apparently earn a spot in the Kantou Tournament. When Sena and his teammates reach the field, though, the Golden Bowl turns out to be more than they expected, and their opponents may be beyond them. The result is a single-film sports story built around one high-stakes game.
