A martial artist trapped in a mage's body decides the solution is to make magic hit as hard as his fists did. Every spell becomes a weapon, every incantation an excuse to close distance and break something. The show understands that the fun isn't in accepting your class, it's in breaking the game's rules so thoroughly that nobody can tell if you're playing it wrong or everyone else has been doing it backwards the whole time.

Gu Fei is a formidable martial artist who works as a physical education teacher at a school. At his students' urging he starts playing an online game, but because of a mistake by one of those students he ends up with the mage class. Used to meeting force with force, he decides to make the most of it and becomes a violent mage who fights up close. By combining raw strength with magic, he opens up a new way to play. The story is an action fantasy adventure adapted from Butterfly Lan's novel Melee Mage in Online Games.
