A yokai landlord and his exorcist tenant have found their rhythm, and now the show trusts you enough to let the comedy breathe without explaining the punchlines. The supernatural mystery stops being a plot device and becomes an excuse to watch two people who genuinely like each other navigate the absurd. The pacing is loose, the jokes land because they're earned from character, not setup, and there's a calm to watching a show that knows exactly what it is without needing to prove anything.

Still working off a debt of one million en to the morose Abeno, Ashiya helps him send youkai stranded in the human world back to the Underworld, and he has come to enjoy the job and feel responsible for the creatures he can talk to. Word of a human working for the interdimensional tea room is spreading, though, and not every youkai welcomes it. After one job, the pair receive a distress call from the Legislator, one of the three powers ruling the Underworld. They go there at once, and Ashiya is caught up in an incident. He also finds that not every youkai is willing to go along with Abeno's plans. This second season of the supernatural comedy runs for 13 episodes.
