The paper house is a very short psychological animation made with brush pen and colored pencil on tracing paper. Director Yuko Asano took the idea from a vivid dream: a dictionary with flip-book images printed in its page corners was pulled from a bookshelf, and once it was put back, the book was gone. The film grows out of that strange, dreamlike moment.
