Minmay's final concert doesn't just replay the best moments from Macross, it transforms them into something farewell feels like. Every song recontextualizes a scene you thought you already knew, turning memory into grief, joy into distance. The new ending animation sends the Megaroad into space and finally lets the original cast go, which is what the series itself never quite managed to do.

Lynn Minmay prepares to leave Earth as the Megaroad-01 colony ship readies for launch, nine months after the events of the TV series. Her farewell concert in Macross City frames this half-hour music video, which sets her songs over footage from the Macross TV series and the film Do You Remember Love?. New animation at the end shows the launch of the ship, captained by Misa Hayase, now married to Hikaru Ichijo. Hikaru tests the VF-4 Lightning III while Minmay packs and takes a last look at the concert hall before boarding. The OVA mixes drama, mecha and music.
