Ilya Kuvshinov's art direction turns every frame into a painting you'd pause on, a level of visual consistency that most studios abandon after five minutes. The colors exist in their own logic, separate from how the world "should" look, and that's where the magic actually lives. The story is thin enough that you'll forget it by tomorrow, but you won't forget walking through a world this deliberately beautiful with a girl learning to trust herself for the first time.

Akane is a shy sixth grader with no self-confidence who struggles to tell people how she feels. The day before her birthday, her mother sends her to pick up a present from free-spirited Aunt Chi's antique shop. There she places her hand in a strange slab, and a stern alchemist named Hippocrates and his apprentice Pipo appear, hailing her as a legendary goddess of the green wind. They come from another world reached through the shop's basement, where the water has dried up and the trees are losing their color, and they believe only Akane can save it. With Aunt Chi along for the trip, she sets out as Wonderland's reluctant savior in a fantasy adventure film.
