Anime Like TO-Y
Two weeks before the concert that could make or break them, To-Y gets jumped by the guy who's already won. SYNOPSIS
To-Y fronts GASP, a scrappy rock band clawing their way up from Tokyo's underground club circuit. Two weeks before their shot at the big stage,a headlining performance at Yaon Hibiya that could launch them into the mainstream,everything starts falling apart. A rival vocalist named Aikawa dominates the charts while GASP remains stuck in small venues, and Aikawa's ruthless manager sees To-Y as talent worth stealing away from his "bunch of hoodlums." She dangles a solo career at a major label, threatening to derail the band's only real chance at breaking through. The pressure intensifies when Aikawa himself attacks To-Y outside a club, leaving the vocalist bruised and questioning everything. Then there's Niya, a mysterious figure with an unsettling cat-like presence who claims to be To-Y's partner in some undefined way. As the concert date approaches, To-Y has to navigate industry sabotage, personal doubts, and strange supernatural interference while fighting to keep his band together. This is a raw dive into the violence and chaos of Japan's 1980s rock underground.
