To-Y fronts GASP, a scrappy band known for violence and clawing its way up from Tokyo's underground punk scene. Two weeks before a concert at Yaon Hibiya that would mark their mainstream debut, To-Y is jumped by rival singer Aikawa Yoji during a gig at Shinjuku Loft. Aikawa sits at the top of the charts while GASP remains stuck in small clubs, and his manager, Ms. Kato of Koyama Productions, wants To-Y to ditch his "bunch of hoodlums" and sign as a solo act with a major label. When To-Y refuses to leave his bandmates, the spurned executive starts putting obstacles in their path, and he must weigh whether his integrity is worth the cost. Adding to the confusion is Niya, an unexplained girl with feline traits who proclaims herself To-Y's lover, much to the dismay of Koishikawa Hiderou, who is also interested in him.
