Fudou Yukimitsu arrives and immediately breaks the established order, forcing Kunihiro to manage a citadel fracturing over competing claims to a dead man's legacy. The other swords don't see a newcomer; they see a threat to their identity, and that friction rewires everything you thought you understood about how these characters relate. This is a stage play adaptation that trusts you already know these swords, so it skips the hand-holding and goes straight for the internal collapse.

A new blade manifests at the citadel: Fudou Yukimitsu, once carried by Oda Nobunaga and later given to his attendant Mori Ranmaru. Fudou takes pride in being Nobunaga's cherished sword, which puts him at odds with three others who also served that warlord: Souza Samonji, Heshikiri Hasebe and Yagen Toushirou. As the citadel falls into disorder, team captain Yamanbagiri Kunihiro has to pull everyone back together. Then the saniwa receives orders for a mission to 1582 and the Honnouji incident, where Nobunaga met his end. Adapted from the stage play and overseen by its original director and writer, Kenichi Suemitsu, this eight-episode action fantasy sends the swords to protect history at the scene of their former master's death.
