This is a continuation OVA that demands you've already committed to the source material, which means it can stop explaining and start executing. The Nihon Country arc cuts deep into character motivation in ways the TV series never dared, treating every reunion and betrayal like it actually costs something. If you're here, you already know what you're walking into, and the show respects that by refusing to simplify itself.

In the wake of the battle in Celes, Fai gets away with Kurogane's help, and the two also aid Syaoran and Sakura. The group then lands in Nihon Country, Kurogane's home world, where he sees Tomoyo again. When Seishirou shows up, Syaoran fights him for a feather. Once he claims it, Syaoran passes into the Dream World and comes face to face with Sakura, Watanuki and the Clone. Scattered flashbacks return to what happened in Celes. This two-episode fantasy adventure OVA mixes action, drama and mystery, and its story is tied to a companion xxxHOLiC OVA release.
