A kid spent years listening to a voice in the dark that made him less alone, and now he's hunting for the person behind it without knowing anything except that sound. The premise sounds like setup for a generic harem, but the show knows its real story is about why we need certain people, not which girl wins. Arisu has an actual personality that makes the comedy land where most romance anime fail, and the mystery of Apollo's voice keeps pulling you forward even when the animation cuts corners.
Arisu spent his lonely nights listening to a mysterious radio host called Apollo, her voice the only comfort he needed. Then she vanished without warning. Years later, now a high school sophomore, he's determined to find her with only a few clues to go on, and he has something he wants to tell her. His search leads him to the school's broadcasting club, where four girls all sound like Apollo in their own ways, and each hopes to build a career with her voice. Arisu joins the club and sets out to help them reach their goals, while never giving up his hunt for the real Apollo. Comedy and romance mix as he tries to work out which girl is behind the voice he remembers.
