Two rabbits in a Russian prison with no dialogue, only sound design and physical comedy so precise it becomes absurdist poetry. The first season is about the unbearable mundanity of captivity; the second season becomes a fever dream about escape where nothing makes sense because freedom doesn't owe you logic. This is what happens when a studio decides the entire emotional range of confinement and liberation can be expressed through two fuzzy bodies and a synthesizer.

Usavich Special is a one-episode 2008 comedy special from the Usavich franchise of animated shorts made for MTV Japan by Kanaban Graphics. The franchise centers on a mismatched pair of rabbits locked up in a Russian prison. Its first season plays out the absurd routines of their life behind bars, and its second follows the pair as they break out and try to stay on the run. The special brings that mix of adventure and comedy to a single episode.
