A massive brick structure convulses within the boundaries of a single photograph, rotating and lurching in brutal, repetitive cycles. Each motion swings the building back and forth in partial turns, again and again, so a picture that should sit still feels full of depth. Director Takashi Ito expanded the film from a short commercial he made for an interior design company. His aim was to stress how flat a photo held in the hand really is while giving the space inside its borders a strong sense of movement and depth.
