The premise is a perfect excuse for comedy that actually lands because every tutoring session becomes a collision between who these girls are and what Nariyuki needs them to become. The romance doesn't interrupt the jokes; it's the thing that makes the jokes work, turning every failed explanation into a moment where you see why he's willing to keep trying. Season 2 knows exactly what it is: a show about four people who are fundamentally incompatible discovering they fit anyway.

Nariyuki Yuiga is in his final year of high school, working toward a special recommendation that would cover his college tuition by tutoring three geniuses at Ichinose Academy. Fumino Furuhashi, Rizu Ogata and Uruka Takemoto shine in their own fields but are lost outside them. Under his steady guidance, they have finally raised their worst subjects to average scores. University entrance exams are coming, though, and they still have a long way to go. The girls are also trying to balance their dreams with growing feelings for a tutor who has no idea. Two more people join the group: Mafuyu Kirisu, a teacher who seems cold but is very clumsy, and whose views on talent and education come from her past as a promising figure skater, and Asumi Kominami, an alum who works as a maid while aiming for a national medical university. With six of them together, Nariyuki's last year becomes a lively mix of studying, comic mishaps and budding romance.
