Kouji walks into Pia Carrot to chase a cute girl, immediately hates the one coworker who matters, and spends six episodes discovering that antagonism and attraction were never actually different things. SYNOPSIS
Kouji lands a job at Pia Carrot, a local café, after spotting a cute coworker in uniform. His first day takes a turn when he literally crashes into Azusa, a sharp-tongued girl who works the same shift. Their collision sparks mutual disdain, and the two find themselves constantly bickering between orders and table service. What starts as genuine irritation gradually shifts into something neither of them quite expects. As weeks pass, Kouji catches himself noticing things about Azusa: the way she handles difficult customers, her rare genuine smile, moments when her tough exterior cracks. Azusa, meanwhile, seems to go out of her way to mess with him, but her pranks carry an oddly playful edge. Working the same shifts forces them into proximity neither can escape, and the boundary between antagonism and attraction becomes increasingly blurred. This OVA captures the peculiar alchemy of forced proximity and banter, where the line between enemies and something more dissolves in the steam rising from freshly brewed coffee.
