What you get instead is a show that commits fully to the absurdity of an elite magical military force with absolutely nothing to do. The comedy runs on pure character chaos and the surreal friction between world-ending stakes that simply never arrive. This is a spinoff that throws away the dramatic scaffolding of its source material and finds something funnier in the wreckage. The witches are trained for war. They got paperwork instead.

Nations around the world band together against the Neuroi, a new enemy of humanity that only girls with special powers can fight. The Neuroi, however, never show up.
