A strategist from ancient China treats the music industry like warfare. Kongming's deadpan genius paired with Eiko's raw ambition creates comedy that lands because the show respects both the absurdity and the actual stakes of making it as an artist. The soundtrack doesn't just underscore the story, it IS the story, each track a campaign, each performance a battle won.

Kongming, the strategist of ancient China, is suddenly transported to modern Japan, where he makes a new friend in Eiko. He decides to turn her into a music star, and he brings his military tactics into the music business as if it were a war. Together the pair set out to conquer Shibuya's party scene. The film is a compilation of the Ya Boy Kongming! series, mixing comedy, drama, music and a supernatural premise about a man out of his own time. Some of Eiko's performances include newly added footage.
