Bai Xiaochun's panic-driven cowardice keeps producing genuine power, and the show has learned how to flip between laughing at him and breaking your heart over what he's becoming. The early comedy about accidentally stumbling into strength carries real weight now because you've watched his relationships survive everything. This is what happens when a show refuses to choose between being funny and being earned.

Yi Nian Yongheng: Ni Zhan Pian is a 15-episode ONA that blends action, comedy and fantasy. It continues the second season of Yi Nian Yongheng as that season's third installment. The franchise centers on Bai Xiaochun, a charming yet exasperating young man whose dread of dying and longing to live forever shape most of his choices, though he treasures his friends and family.
