Sakamichi Onoda is an otaku whose knack for riding the bulky mamachari bike he has owned since childhood caught the attention of cyclists, who tried to steer him away from the disbanded anime club and toward bicycle racing. In this single OVA episode, the Sohoku team spends another day training for the Inter-High by climbing Minegayama, with each grade year riding apart from the others. Along the way, Onoda grows a bit closer to Makishima as he tells him about his love of anime merchandise. The episode mixes comedy, drama and sports, and it came packaged with a limited edition of the manga's 29th volume.
