Yuma stops being the underdog and becomes the thing his enemies fear. The Numbers aren't just cards anymore, they're pieces of a war between worlds, and every duel costs something real. Watch a kid realize that friendship and believing in yourself don't solve everything, that sometimes the people closest to you are already compromised, and there's no clean way out of that.

Following the World Duel Carnival, calm returns to Heartland City, but a new foe appears: the Barians, emissaries of a world hostile to the Astral World. Their goal is to gather the Numbers cards and destroy the Astral World so that their own world can escape destruction. That puts Yuma and Astral squarely in their sights, and the Barian Emperors resolve to wipe them out. Using the power of ZEXAL, Yuma joins forces with Kaito and Shark to protect Astral and fight back as the Barians slip into Heartland City. Their struggle eventually draws them into a war between the two worlds, while Yuma keeps hunting Numbers to restore Astral's lost memories. This action fantasy is the second series of Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL and runs for 73 episodes.
