The entire joke is watching Tsumekomi's face when Yutori does something that makes zero sense to her, then realizing you're Tsumekomi now. Each episode is short enough that you can watch three in the time it takes to feel bad about yourself, and by the end you're genuinely attached to these characters arguing about nothing. It's the rare comedy that works as both a laugh and a hug.
Yutori-chan is a comedy about the gaps between generations in Japan. Its three leads each stand for one: Yutori for teenagers, Tsumekomi for people in their twenties and thirties, and Dankai for the middle-aged. Yutori, a high school girl, takes a part-time job in the marketing team of Popuu, a mid-sized toy company. Tsumekomi tries to get along with her but finds Yutori's selfish behavior impossible to understand. The 25 ONA episodes play these workplace clashes for slice-of-life laughs.
