Built around Tomy's Zoids model kits, this mecha action adventure centers on Arashi, a boy who hopes to become a Zoid Hunter as his father did and to find his ultimate partner. Early on he joins forces with the Wild Liger and crosses paths with Bacon and Team Supreme, who share word of the Great Ancient Treasure Z. Opposing them is the Death Metal Empire under Gallagher, a power that wields Zoids for conquest and commands a large force of machines and fighters, the Four Heavenly Kings among them.
