Aharen's silences say more than other characters' speeches, and watching Raidou learn to read them is the entire point. Season 2 doesn't rush the vulnerability, it just keeps finding new ways to let two people who barely make sense together prove they're exactly right for each other. The jokes repeat, but they're excuses to watch the same girl and boy discover something new about how they fit.

Aharen has always been hard to read. She and her classmate Raidou began as an unlikely pair, but by now the two are almost never apart, and they have even started dating. Their second year opens with them sitting side by side once again. Then a transfer student joins their class, and Aharen is unsure how much of herself she can let this newcomer see. With Raidou backing her up, she works through that uncertainty. The pair still trip over each other, since he imagines far too much and she has trouble putting her feelings into words. Expect a gentle school romantic comedy about an odd couple who make the people around them happier.
