Yume's whole world tilts when Elza shows up, and suddenly being the best at your school isn't enough anymore. The show knows the difference between winning and mattering, and it spends fifty episodes proving that your friendships are the only trophy that actually weighs anything. Every idol competition is really just an excuse to watch girls figure out who they are when someone smarter and richer tries to convince them it doesn't matter.

Trouble arrives for Yume Nijino when the Venus Ark, a lavish cruise liner that doubles as a school for idols, turns up without warning. Leading the ship is Elza Forte, a flawless idol who has sailed the world collecting the finest idols and brands she could find. Her next target is Yume herself, a student at Four Star Academy. The series is a music-centered idol story.
