Anime Like Akikan! OVA
A soda can girl needs you to carbonate her by mouth, and the show commits completely to this premise without blinking. The entire OVA is built around watching a high school boy and his beverage girlfriend navigate the most absurd intimacy ritual anime has ever treated as normal. It's fanservice that knows exactly what it is, refuses to apologize, and somehow makes the ridiculous feel inevitable.
SYNOPSIS
Kakeru Daichi's ordinary day takes a bizarre turn when the melon soda he buys from a vending machine suddenly transforms into a girl. Frosty and irritable, she introduces herself as an "Akikan": a sentient beverage that can assume human form. The catch is that she needs carbon dioxide to maintain her appearance, which means Kakeru becomes responsible for keeping her carbonated, literally. Things get more complicated when additional Akikan girls show up, each representing different drinks and bringing their own personalities into the mix. What starts as one bewildering encounter spirals into chaos as Kakeru finds himself caught in the middle of these living cans, each with their own needs and quirks. The OVA leans hard into absurdist comedy, treating the impossible premise with a straight face while embracing the ridiculous situations that naturally follow.
