An old man who just wants his garden left alone gets a reality-warping girl dropped into his life, and somehow that's exactly the story this show needed to tell. Sana is a young girl with a power called Alice's Dream, which lets her make anything she imagines real and disregard the laws of physics. She and other girls with the same gift have been kept confined and studied, so the laboratory is all she has ever known. Longing to see the outside world, Sana breaks free and runs into Zoroku Kashimura, an obstinate elderly florist who hates having his daily routine disturbed, at a convenience store. When her pursuers soon track her down, Zoroku does not back away. Guided by his own sense of right and wrong, he stands up to them and then gives Sana a place to live, and the mismatched pair begin sharing everyday life and its troubles. The twelve-episode TV adaptation of Tetsuya Imai's seinen manga blends supernatural and sci-fi mystery with action and adventure.
