A girl terrified of aliens is forced to fight them anyway. The show doesn't make her brave, doesn't soften the horror, doesn't give her a reason to stop being afraid. Armed with roller blades and lacrosse sticks, the trio has to hold off extraterrestrial threats, and Yuri leans on her two partners to cope. Alien Nine is a four-episode OVA that blends sci-fi, horror and psychological drama with slice-of-life school moments.
