This is a ten-minute argument for why Gundam matters, told entirely through mechanical violence. Every frame moves like it's running out of time, cutting between mobile suits with the precision of someone who knows exactly what fans came to see. The soundtrack doesn't let you think, just feel the weight of each launch and collision. It's a commercial, sure, but it's a commercial that respects what you already love enough to skip the explanation and go straight to the moment that makes your chest tight. For anyone who's ever sat through a Gundam series waiting for the next impossible fight, this is the distilled version.
A one-minute animated short made for a 1989 event marking the 10th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam. There is no story to follow: the clip shows many of the well-known mobile suits from the franchise's first decade in action. It doubles as a promotional piece, closing with a notice that War in the Pocket is on the way. It later came out on VHS with other bonus material, and it appears as an extra on the War in the Pocket DVD.
