A 16-year-old running a space defense company out of pure spite for the corrupt system that destroyed her family. The show treats this premise with total seriousness while somehow also being genuinely funny about it. Meifon doesn't brood about her past, she acts, which means every episode is forward momentum wrapped around a character who learned early that waiting for justice means people die. The crew dynamic works because nobody here is special; they're just competent people choosing to show up. It's 1999 and this thing moves like a comet, cramming character depth and actual stakes into 13 episodes that know exactly what they're doing.

Space pirates prey on unwary ships throughout the Oracion star system. Sixteen-year-old Meifon Li leads Angel Links, a security company that escorts transport ships whose crews cannot pay for protection, and it asks nothing in return. Young as she is, Meifon is a capable and skilled commander aboard the crew's ship, which shares the company's name. Troubling memories start to surface, though, and Meifon begins to question her own past and why she exists. Alongside her crew, she clashes with pirates, government organizations and a Tao master while the truth about her dark history slowly comes to light. The sci-fi adventure mixes comedy, drama and romance.
