Appleseed XIII: Tartaros is a 2011 theatrical film that reworks and remixes the opening half of the Appleseed XIII episodes for cinema audiences. Rather than telling a new story, it condenses that stretch of the series into a single movie. Fans of the franchise get a science fiction action film with mecha at its core, assembled from material of the original series.
