These specials exist to let you sit with Yue and Kaori as people, not plot devices. The new Kaori content rewrites how you understand her first meeting with Hajime, turning a throwaway moment into something that actually mattered. Most of this is recap, but the handful of new scenes prove the show understands its characters better than it lets on during the main story.

Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest Specials consists of two bonus episodes that were never broadcast on television. Instead, they were bundled with the home video discs of Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou, making them extra material for people who bought the series on Blu-ray. The specials fall under action, adventure and fantasy.
