AWAKE is a two-episode special from 1984 in the action, mecha and sci-fi genres. The first episode was made as the opening film for Uru Matsuri III, a science fiction convention held that year, and it borrows the look of the earlier Daicon openings. Its imagery centres on two things 1980s Japanese otaku culture was fixated on: science fiction and lolis. The second episode is only known to have come out in 1987.
