Dark Schneider doesn't pretend to be anything but a sex-obsessed wizard with a god complex, and the show loves him anyway. Every action sequence swings for the fences like it's trying to prove something, mixing gratuitous fanservice with genuine comedy timing that lands harder than it has any right to. The plot is basically "evil wizards rebuild the world their way" stretched across six episodes, but that's not the point, the point is watching characters who genuinely enjoy being terrible at it, and enjoying them right back.
A world that has given up technology for magic and the occult has fallen into chaos after a rampaging god laid it to waste. Five magicians, led by Dark Schneider, set out to conquer kingdoms and remake them as utopias, each with a private agenda. Schneider's recklessness and short temper leave destruction wherever he goes, and a group of clerics eventually imprisons him inside a baby boy, Lucien Renlen. Fifteen years later, his four former comrades, Gara, Arshes Nei, Abigail and Kall Su, now seek despotic rule over the world, and the kingdom of Metallicana comes under their attack. High Priest Geo frees Schneider to defend it, but the once amoral wizard has changed during his long confinement, and it remains to be seen whether he will stop his old allies or join them. The result is an action-packed fantasy adventure with a comedic, ecchi streak.
