This is the anime equivalent of leaving the pilot light on. Twelve super-deformed scraps of Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, first dropped on the KADOKAWA YouTube channel and later tucked onto the discs, existing for exactly one reason: you weren't ready to leave Yuna and that ridiculous bear suit behind. Nothing is at stake. Nobody grows. It's chibi Yuna being chibi Yuna, and the joke lands because you already know the girl inside the hood is an overpowered gamer who'd rather nap than save anyone. Watch it the way it was built to be watched, as a palate cleanser between episodes of the real thing, or at 1 a.m. when your brain refuses to hold plot. Bonus-disc filler is usually a shrug. This one earns its place on the shelf.

Bear Bear Bear Kuma! is a set of twelve short animated episodes made as a companion to the Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear anime. The mini episodes went up weekly on the Kadokawa anime YouTube channel in 2020 and were later bundled with the main show's Blu-ray and DVD releases. They carry the parent series' mix of fantasy adventure, comedy and slice-of-life fun in bite-sized form.
