It takes the cast that spent twelve episodes bleeding into cursed swords and shrinks them into halo-wearing chibis with a gavel. Five short bursts, no stakes, no youmu, just the girls of the Literary Club convening a courtroom to pass judgment on their own series and everyone in it. If you came out of the main show emotionally wrecked by Mirai and Akihito, this is the palate cleanser that lets you watch the same faces get roasted by their own friends in super-deformed. The comedy is the whole point here, and it knows it. Nothing about it is essential, which is exactly why fans who stayed through the credits keep it in the rewatch pile.

Akihito Kanbara finds himself in a courtroom, facing an unusual jury over an odd lawsuit. Mirai Kuriyama, Mitsuki Nase and Sakura Inami have become chibi idol versions of themselves, and under Ai Shindou's lead they bring out damning evidence and hand down flashy verdicts. Akihito is not the only defendant, though. Other characters from Beyond the Boundary are also charged with assorted offenses and must sit through the funny truth about their odd habits. The five comedy episodes were released online as a spin-off of the series.
