The Earth Defense Club still doesn't take any of this seriously, and neither does the movie. It's a victory lap for a show that learned ten years ago that magical boys work best when they're allowed to just be dumb and horny and genuinely fond of each other. The animation finally gets to breathe without the weekly grind, and every joke lands because these characters have earned the right to not have to save the world this time.

Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu ETERNAL LOVE! is a 2025 film made to celebrate ten years of the Cute High Earth Defense Club franchise. Earlier entries centered on idle Binan High students who spend their time lounging at the neighborhood bathhouse until strange visitors turn them into magical boys fighting for the planet with the power of love. The movie carries on that mix of comedy, magical transformation, science fiction and everyday school life.
