The premise promises absurdist chaos and completely delivers. A fifteen-year-old idol girl contracts a yakuza mascot to become a magical girl, except transformation means she turns into a hot guy in a frilly outfit, and the show plays this completely straight while everything around her spirals into ridiculous demon-fighting scenarios. The comedy works because it commits to the bit without winking at the camera.

Saki Uno is a fifteen-year-old newcomer to idol work who is in love with her best friend Sakuyo's brother Mohiro, a popular idol himself. On her way home one day she meets a frightening yakuza-looking man and learns that her mother was once a magical girl and that this man was her mascot. When demons shaped like burly men with cute squirrel heads kidnap Mohiro, Saki makes a contract to become a magical girl. In her case, transforming turns her into a handsome, muscular man in a magical girl outfit, and Mohiro finds himself drawn to this new form. Sakuyo, who turns out to be in love with Saki, also becomes a cross-dressing magical guy to protect her, and their manager, a magical girl fan, makes the pair into an idol unit. The result is an action comedy that plays with magical girl conventions.
