SYNOPSIS
Kouta spends his high school days quietly loving Pom Pom Purin, a yellow dog character from Sanrio. He keeps it secret, convinced that his interest is something to hide. Then he meets Yuu Mizuno, who openly carries a My Melody bag to school without apology. When Yuu discovers Kouta's carefully concealed fandom, he doesn't judge. Instead, he introduces Kouta to a small group of boys who all share the same quiet passion for Sanrio characters, each drawn to different mascots for different reasons. What begins as tentative friendships built on a shared secret becomes something deeper. Together, these five boys navigate the question of why they should feel ashamed of something that brings them genuine joy. They support each other through moments of vulnerability, learning that their interests don't define their worth or masculinity. Sanrio Boys is about finding acceptance in unexpected places and discovering that the people who matter won't make you feel small for the things you love.
