Pinoko stops being the sidekick for one episode and becomes a real doctor. She walks into a forest with nothing but what she already knows, and every animal she helps is a small problem she actually solves. That's it, no drama, no grandstanding, just a kid doing the work while a butterfly leads the way.

Black Jack leaves his doctor's bag behind, so his assistant Pinoko, who insists she is his wife, hurries off to bring it to him. On the way she loses her way in a forest. A butterfly leads her through the woods, where she finds that many of the animals living there are sick or hurt. Pinoko puts her medical know-how to work caring for them in this one-episode comedy special from the Black Jack franchise.
