The ice captain finally gets a movie that's worth his character, and every frame proves it. Hitsugaya moves through space like he has weight and consequence, every slash building momentum instead of resetting between cuts. The story collapses under its own contradictions, but by then you're already watching him fight alone against impossible odds, and that's all this movie ever needed to be.
A precious artifact called the King's Seal is stolen during a Soul Society transport, and Captain Toshiro Hitsugaya of the 10th Division, who was guarding it, vanishes after clashing with the thieves' leader. The Seireitei declares him a traitor and orders his capture and execution. Ichigo Kurosaki refuses to believe it, and together with Rangiku, Rukia and Renji he sets out to track Hitsugaya down, clear his name and find out who was really behind the theft. Meanwhile, Hitsugaya is pursuing the culprits on his own and uncovers a dark secret tied to a shinigami who died long ago. This supernatural action film sits squarely in the Bleach franchise.
