A dead world waiting under water for permission to live again, guarded by a girl and two machines that are probably smarter than anyone else in the room. Blue Remains collapses under its own ambition in the final act, but those first forty minutes, where nothing is explained and everything matters, stay with you longer than finished films twice its budget.

In 2062, a spaceship returning from exploring other planets finds Earth's surface covered by nuclear explosions, and it crash-lands on the seabed near Okinawa to escape the radiation. Amamiku, placed in frozen sleep by her scientist parents, guards seeds holding the DNA needed to regrow life on the surface. Her guardians are the computer Pyron and Mayzamik. Not everyone wants that rebirth to happen. A fully 3DCG undersea sci-fi adventure, the film raises questions about environmental problems and humanity's existence.
