A high school boy wakes up to find a torture device in human form standing naked in his kitchen, and somehow this is the least weird part of what's about to happen. Fear isn't playing the submissive love interest, she's a sentient implement of agony learning what it means to stop being a weapon, and every fight she takes on is her refusing to be what she was made for. The 12 episodes move too fast and the harem setup is by-the-numbers, but the core idea, a girl made of curses trying to become human, carries enough weight to make you care when everything else is just noise.

High school student Yachi Haruaki receives a mysterious, extremely heavy black cube from his father, who lives overseas. That night a noise wakes him, and in the kitchen he finds a completely naked girl named Fear helping herself to rice crackers. Fear is the human form of the cursed cube, which is an instrument of torture. Haruaki is naturally resistant to curses, and Fear uses her special abilities to fight alongside him against other cursed instruments and their owners. Adapted from Minase Hazuki's light novels, the series mixes supernatural action and comedy with ecchi elements.
