The tournament format finally justifies itself: every match matters because every opponent carries their own unfinished story, not just a power level. Michiru's return isn't fan service, it's the show asking what happens when the person who was supposed to win actually comes back. The card battles stop being about memorizing mechanics and become about watching fighters prove who they've become since the last time someone believed in them.

With the Destined Showdown behind them, Akina and his fellow Vanguard fighters are enjoying peaceful days until an invitation arrives for DELUXE, a tournament to decide the strongest Vanguard fighter. This third edition promises unmissable matchups arranged by the AI Gui, including the miraculous return of Michiru Hazama and an appearance by Kagetsu Yakumo, the legendary strongest fighter of Mythisch. During the tournament, Kagetsu, who is Nao's mentor, asks Akina why he plays Vanguard, and Akina must find his answer as the fight for the top of DELUXE begins.
