This is the one that stops pretending it's a card game anime and just lets Aichi and Kai punch the screen. Takuto Tatsunagi drops the Messiah Scramble invite in a dream, Harmonics Messiah is the prize, and units start vanishing off the faces of cards worldwide while the Deletors do their work. What you actually get is aura, transformation and camera work that swings so hard it tips into oversaturation, closer to a Dragon Ball Z power spike than a trigger check. If you didn't sit through four seasons up to Link Joker, none of the weight lands, and half the shop crew shows up just to be background. But the Aichi and Kai partnership finally standing side by side instead of across the table is the payoff fans waited years for.

Takuto Tatsunagi's mysterious invitation arrives as a dream: an exclusive tournament called the Messiah Scramble, where the top prize is a card named Messiah, after a saviour heard of in that same dream. Aichi and Kai are both invited to take part. Across the globe, units are vanishing from Vanguard cards, and the peace Aichi and Kai only recently won back is under threat. Teaming up, the two face their harshest battle yet against Kouji Ibuki. The film mixes animation with live action and serves as a prequel leading into Legion.
