It drops you straight back into the deck-shuffling adrenaline four months after Nagoya Castle, and the stakes have gotten weirder in the best way. The Deluxe tournament isn't a clean bracket, it's Front Fighters from the sanctioned circuit colliding with Counter Fighters like Blackout, flags on the line, reputations on the line, nobody quite playing by the same rulebook. That structure is the flex: Yu-yu and the overDress crew have to defend a status they only just earned against underground fighters who never wanted it in the first place. Thirteen episodes means no filler padding, every match carries weight, and the losses stick. If you've ever called "stand up, Vanguard" out loud in an empty room, this is the season built for you.

Four months after the battle at Nagoya Castle, Yu-yu and his friends receive an invitation to the Deluxe tournament, an event meant to decide who the strongest fighter is. The competition gathers two kinds of players: Front Fighters, who take part in official tournaments, and Counter Fighters, hidden powerhouses such as Blackout who battle one another for flags. Returning characters from overDress face newcomers including Raika, Michiru and Urara, all competing for the top spot. This 13-episode sequel to Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress is an action and adventure series built around a card battle tournament.
