The animation doesn't follow the song, it thinks alongside it. Studio 4°C and Morimoto build a world where every movement, every cut, every color shift is its own argument about connection, loneliness, the space between people. Ayumi Hamasaki's voice becomes the only constant in a visual experience that refuses to stay still. This is what happens when a director trusts a musician enough to let the image talk back. Watch it once for the beauty. Watch it again because you'll catch something new every time the perspective shifts.

Connected is a single-episode music video made by Studio 4°C for Ayumi Hamasaki's song of the same name, with Kouji Morimoto directing. Its genre listing is science fiction. The short piece pairs Studio 4°C's animation with Hamasaki's track, and it was released on DVD on 25 February 2004.
