A gigantic monster ravages a small seaside town. Ten years later, the community has bounced back and turned itself into a tourist destination, until the monster, called GAEA-TIMA, appears again. Miyako survived the first attack and is now regarded as a local hero. She presses for a scientific way to deal with the enormous creatures known as gigantis, while the story asks whether humanity can answer violence with anything other than more violence. The result is a science fiction drama that gives the kaiju genre's environmental and anti-war roots a modern twist.
