The animation burns so bright it rewires your nervous system. Every frame of the Rengoku fight is orchestrated like a symphony, and the soundtrack doesn't just underscore the moment, it becomes the moment. A shounen story stripped down to its skeleton: a swordsman running out of time, a demon that doesn't need to be complicated, and a man choosing his death before it chooses him. The movie knows it has 117 minutes to wreck you, and it spends every second of it doing exactly that.

Tanjiro Kamado and his fellow demon slayers Zenitsu and Inosuke, along with Nezuko, board the Mugen Train on a new mission after dozens of people vanish aboard it in a short span of time. Earlier efforts by the Demon Slayer Corps to solve the problem have failed, and the demon behind the disappearances has been killing the slayers who stand against it. To end the threat, the Flame Hashira Kyoujurou Rengoku takes on the mission himself, and the younger slayers come along hoping to see this model swordsman in action. The demon's plan is already under way, however, and the group must draw their swords to protect the two hundred passengers aboard as Tanjiro's resolve and sense of duty are put to the test. The film is a supernatural action fantasy with drama and mystery elements.
