The joke that never gets old is watching Masato desperately try to be the hero while his mom casually obliterates every threat before he can land a single hit. Every dungeon crawl becomes a humiliation comedy where the most powerful person in the party is the one person he's trying to escape from. It's the kind of show that knows exactly how funny it is to make a teenage boy's worst nightmare, his mother being better at something than he is, into the actual plot.

High schooler Masato Oosuki fills out a survey that seems pointless and is then thrown into the world of a fantasy MMORPG as part of a secret government scheme. His doting mother Mamako comes along with him. Masato is an eager gamer who wants to show what he can do, but that is hard when his mom turns out to be a hugely overpowered swordswoman who wields two blades and strikes every enemy twice. After some early friction between them, mother and son look for more party members. They meet the merchant Porta and the sage Wise and set out to clear the game. The series mixes action, fantasy adventure, comedy and ecchi.
